My primary audience are people aged between 15-24, and my secondary audience are people aged between 25-35.
This poster would appeal to my secondary target audience as people aged 24-35 would be more interested in the producers and the reviews of the film than the pictures, whereas people aged 15-24 would prefer a more simple poster and would be more interested in the pictures and storyline behind the film, rather than the people who made the film. The poster includes the title in a bold font and covered in red to show that the film is based on the killer and it shows it's a thriller. 'You can run, but you can't hide' also shows that the film is a thriller and it makes the poster more attractive to the audience. There are also quotes from Newspapers to give a review for the target audience as they will care about whether it's been rated well. This would encourage them to watch the film.
This poster would appeal to my primary audience of ages 15-24 rather than the secondary audience of 24-35. This is because a younger audience are more interested in the image, narrative and the film name rather than newspaper ratings and the people who made the film. We researched to see what our primary audience likes which includes a lot less words, a bold image and a bold font. We included the same picture but in bigger size and with a different effect so the primary audience still know who the main character is, who is a killer. We moved the title and subtitle but remained with the same font so the focus was solely on the picture. We included the name of the main actor 'Louis Martin' in this poster to let the audience know who the main character is as they are more interested in that than the reviews and directors. We included Louis in the poster because he can be seen as an attractive teenager boy that may attract other audiences such as girls that may want to see the film because Louis is in it.
